Mt Buller Ski Resort

Just 3 hours from the heart of Melbourne, Mt Buller Ski Resort is the most accessible large snow resort in Australia, and the closest large resort to any international airport. Mt Buller also boasts the largest lift network of the Victorian ski resorts with 22 lifts to cover the 300 hectares of skiable terrain. Downhill ski runs are available for all ski and snowboard ability levels with 45% of the mountain suitable for the intermediate skier. There are also three terrain parks, each designed for different skill levels and two toboggan parks with dedicated snowmaking machines for plenty of snow play fun.

Mt Buller Events, Activities and Facilities

Mt Buller hosts loads of events all season long. Watch the Team Buller Riders, athletes and coaches as they perform some amazing high flying tricks 30m in the air to music from a live DJ. The Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam is held in the village square where Australia’s best snowboarders compete in the longest running rail event. There’s also ski, snowboard, mogul and slopestyle competitions, film festivals, kids weeks, a fun 80’s day, tobogganing and dog sled tours.

The alpine village at Mt Buller sits in the heart of the mountain so there is lots of ski in ski out opportunities. The Mt Buller ski resort has the most on snow accommodation in Victoria with options to suit every budget. Plus there’s over 30 restaurants and bars, Australia’s highest day spa, a cinema, chapel, fitness centre, rock climbing wall, trampolining, museum, child care facilities, supermarket, medical centre, post office and information centre.

Mt Buller is accessible by car with designated day and overnight parking areas. Day visitors can catch the free shuttle bus to the village, or a chairlift directly to the ski fields.
